Saints vs.Colts

This year we had a Superbowl party at our place with a bunch of friends. Our team (Steelers) didn't quite make it to the super bowl this year so we chose to cheer for the Saints. What a great choice, because they won! It was lots of fun with everyone cheering for their chosen teams. Unfortunately the commercials this year just weren't all that amazing. We always can look forward to next year. :o)

Blessed

Sometimes I sit down and just think about all the craziness that goes on in our life. Between work, looking for work, school, families, future plans and church callings it seems that the craziness will never end. Which it probably wont because when you seem to get a handle on one thing there is another in its place. I've had a lot of time to think since I still haven't found a job with benefits (So Brad can quit) and I'm not going to school. In fact I think WAY more than I probably should.

But at the end of every day, when all my thinking is coming to an end, I think about how blessed I am to have such an amazing husband who stands by me no matter what, who would do anything for me, who loves me unconditionally and who always knows how to put a smile on my face even when I'm trying my hardest not to give in.

I'm so glad that he is mine and I am his for eternity.

I'm such a lucky gal.

I am so blessed.

Miss America

My mom throws an annual Miss America Pagent Party every year that is always so much fun! This year the invites were mini purses with items that had all the info needed for the party. (Pictured below) For my food item I did 'Fruit Smoothies' for 'Miss Hawaii'. Everyone who attended had their food item match a state of their choice. This year no one guessed Miss America but we had so much fun talking and laughing about each of the girls. Great entertainment for sure! And since we were all having so much fun I forgot to take pictures even though my camera was sitting right next to me!

9th Ward Ice Skating

We had lot of fun skating at the Ice Sheet with a bunch of our wardies for the monthly activity. It was a perfect night to be there because there was hardly anyone there so we had plenty of room to practice our awesome tricks!

New Callings

So Brad and I were released from our callings as 2nd counselor in the Elders Quorum Presidency and 1st counselor in the Relief Society Presidency just before the new year. We loved are callings and it was great knowing that we were secured in a position. When we got released (on the same day) we were partly excited for the break but then I realized that I was also partly nervous for the day I would get a new call. I was suddenly aware of all the callings that needed to be filled in our ward! I managed to stay calm and not worry about it for a few weeks and then the call came to see if we could meet with the Bishop the next day. This was it...but I couldn't contain my excitement when they called me as our Ward Photographer!!! I was ecstatic! And to add a bit of sugar on top Brad was called as Assistant Ward Photographer! :o) I couldn't be more excited about our new callings and to be able to work together in a calling for the first time is very exciting for us! What I didn't know, but found out this week, is that being the ward photographer means everyone who hates their picture taken totally avoids you in any way possible. To all those fellow wardies who think they managed to avoid my lens beware...because you can run but you can't hide!

Group Date

Friday night Brad took me out on a date and we went with a group of his friends. We started at the Ice Sheet and luckily we got there early because it took me forever to find the right pair of skates. I literally put on and took off 4 pairs of skates and did a circle or two around the ice before deciding. I know that makes me sound super high maintenance but I'm really not, I just prefer to be comfortable while gliding around on a thin piece of metal on ice. We had lots of fun then we all went to dinner at The Pie. The root beer their is fabulous and you get to drink it out of frosted mugs. Mmmmm. Then we headed to our place to play Pounce and Sequence. Sequence was quite the battle, it was guys vs. girls and the guys did win the first two rounds but then we cleaned up with three wins in a row! 3-2, I'd say it was a close one! It was such a fun night and full of laughter during the games for sure!

Bear Lake

Brad and I went to Bear Lake for the weekend, kind of spur of the moment, and it was a beautiful weekend! Both of us got sick so we spent the weekend just relaxing and enjoying the scenery.
